2021 Coding Power Essay/Art Contest 

 

Coding Power is hosting the second bi-annual 2021 Essay/Art Contest! The Coding Power 2021 Essay/Art Contest is a wonderful opportunity for students to become more involved with Coding Power while also receiving cash prizes!
 

Deadline: July 10th, 2021, at 11:59 PM PST

To submit your work, click here 


General Guidelines
1. Each student may submit no more than one submission per category
2. The deadline to submit is July 10, 2021, at 11:59 PM PST.
3. All submissions MUST relate back to the prompt of the contest (see below).


Essay Category Guidelines
1. Prompt: "Coding can..."
2. The essay must fit within 500-800 words.
3. The essay must be the student's original work. No plagiarism.


Art Category Guidelines
1. Prompt: Choose one page on our website (www.codingpower.org) and design a banner for it!
    - Examples Include: Home, About, Schedule, Contests, Branches, Students, Teachers, Branch Director
    - Make your art piece related to the page name (ex. for Schedule, you can draw a calendar or clock)
    - Remember that we will add the Page Name in the center of your image 
(Refer to current website banners)
2. The art piece can be of any medium (digital, drawing, painting, sculpture, sketch, etc.) If the art is digital, please make sure it fits 1500 * 200 pixels.
3. The art piece must be submitted in one image file (NO videos).
4. Please submit a good quality image (nice lighting and not blurry).

 

Contest Awards (total of 6 winners for each category)
1st place - $100 cash prize
2nd place - $50 cash prize
3rd place - $25 cash prize

If you wish to submit an entry for both categories, please submit through the form twice.
